Make a playlist of favorites you haven’t heard in a month

Use Forgotten favorites to bring back songs you used to play and save a playlist that updates as you listen.

A shuffle can miss the song you played every day last spring. Moosik’s Forgotten favorites starts from a different question: which tracks earned repeat plays on this computer and then fell out of rotation?

Save the collection

  1. Open Listening history in the sidebar, then Rediscover.
  2. Select Forgotten favorites. A track needs at least three qualified plays and its last recorded session must be more than 30 days ago. A song you played five times two months ago can appear; one you played again yesterday has to wait.
  3. Choose Keep as smart playlist, give it a name, and save it. Open it from the sidebar when you want to revisit the collection. Moosik checks the rule again when you open it.

When the list is empty

The rule uses the listening record in this installation. If you started using Moosik last week, even an old favorite won’t have a month of recorded absence yet. Try Recent discoveries while the record grows, or rate a few songs and open Five-star songs.

Playing a forgotten favorite brings it back into rotation and eventually takes it out of the collection. To keep a particular song regardless of when you play it next, use the song’s Save privately action.
